MSI's SCM (System Control Manager) utility software is also involved. However, there's more involved in the power profiles than just the Dragon Center. This includes the power profiles which can be controlled via the Windows Control Panel. This is because the Fn key does not generate a scan code so third-party programs have no control over it.įortunately, most of the features of the Dragon Center can be controlled directly and the Dragon Center is not needed. For example, the custom program/game launch key (Fn+F4 which is often labeled "P1" on MSI gaming notebooks) can only be assigned via the Dragon Center. Most MSI gaming notebooks have a few custom features that cannot be controlled apart from MSI's Dragon Center (or Dragon Gaming Center on older models).
